Q

I used X-651-1, but the color is not vibrant.

A

The issue is likely due to insufficient drying and the paint layer being too thin. Allow it to dry for at least 24 hours, and if you're screen printing, use a 250 mesh screen.

Q

I used embossing paint, but after firing, cracks appeared.

A

This is caused by firing at too high a temperature. Fire at around 780°C. Additionally, when firing twice, set the paint's firing temperature slightly higher than that of the liquid gold for a smoother finish.

Q

I used it as an overcoat, but the gold color doesn't have a nice shine.

A

The paint layer is too thick, and the firing temperature was too low. Thin the paint layer and raise the firing temperature to 800°C–820°C for better results.
